Aragorn arrived at noon on his horse, Brego and greeted Beregond, with a brotherly hug and a smile. The day was not a smiling matter. Aragorn's eyes were dark and in thought. He looked at Beregond. Then wallked towardss the pavilion and the awaiting commanders from the South, East and Rohan.
"I have called you all here to warn of the break in armistice. Those who attack Gondor will be met with no mercy. I will not allow any attack on my people to go un punished. Who ordered the attack?" Aragorn said sternly.
He scratched at his side. Damn this kingswear, he just didnt feel comfortable in it. The white gown the ornated silver armour and crown, not his style at all. But after all he had to at least look like the king of Gondor. He sat down and interlocked his fingers, waiting for an answer.

Lord Faramir entered the room. He had been on the borders of the fair land of Ithilien being briefed by the head of the Ithilien Rangers, Damrod. Men of the South and those of the East had attacked his borders. Naturally the Rangers that were situated in the Forest City of Minas Ithilien were dispatched to defend Gondor.
The fighting was fierce and Faramir was in the thick of it, as he liked to be. He was dressed in the fatigues of the Ithilien Rangers, the sword of the Steward sheathed at his side. He bowed his head slightly to the King and walked across the room.
Faramir whispered something into Aragorn's ear.
'The attack's have been stopped, but the fighing was fierce, my Lord.'

Aragorn watched Faramir enter. He listened as Faramir whispered. He looked at Faramir and whispered back into his ear. "Did you bring back any proof?"
He whispered back. Looking back and Faramir's face for an answer.
He then looked back across the pavilion at the scommanders of the East and South wondering which one it was that had ordered this attack.

Queen Racine dismounted onto the sweet grass, the coolness of it upon her sandaled feet gratefully welcomed after riding through the desert. Her lithe figure was draped in white silk to ward away the heat from the sun and to ensure her comfort during the long ride. She looked towards the pavilion, and a soft smirk slipped across her lips. This would certainly be amusing.
Her two generals appeared either side of her without her command. For a moment she stood, regarding the pavilion where she had been called to. Really she didn't have to come, it was inevitable a war would be spawned out of her actions. Even so, she was to see if she could squeeze anything out of their demands for peace.
She handed her reigns over then motioned with a white clad hand to both of her generals whom nodded simultaneously. She made her way towards the pavilion and her generals opened the flaps for her to enter.

Faramir looked down at Aragorn and grinned. Had he brought any proof? Of course he had. Faramir had dragged the corpse of the Southron leader all the way from the fighting on the borders of Ithilien. The corpse was, in fact, just on the other side of the pavillion.
'Of course, my Lord.' Faramir said as he saw two men lift up the flaps of the pavillion.
Things were not looking up for the Southrons. King Elessar was in a fit of rage at the moment, the hasty message he had dispatched before leaving to the borders had clearly shaken him up, as days later he had arrived to oversee things himself.
'This will be interesting,' Faramir smiled.

Racine's gaze flickered about the pavilion and all those assembled before she lowered her white hood as was expected. Her braided and twisted brown hair fell loose and framed about her olive coloured face. Slowly, she faced the King of Gondor. She observed him with interest.
The Queen was not going to show open dislike and so dutifully curtsied. "Milord," she said clearly. When she straightened again, her two generals were beside her.

Lord Faramir watched as the Queen from the South entered the Pavillion. She had removed her hood. Faramir looked towards her with great dis-like, not afraid to show his emotions, although only through his eyes, which burned. He saw the two generals step to her side and Faramir did so to Aragorn, standing at the side of his chair.
Faramir did not like the look of the two ruffians which stood either side of the queen, although they looked alot more regal than those whom he had fought and killed not a day ago. Formality took over him and Faramir bowed, if only slightly.
'My lady,' he said, through clenched teeth.

Aragorn noticed the woman, and inclined his head dutifully when she curtsied. "Good Afternoon, Queen Rácine." he said, inclining his head once more. He too not wanting to show open dislike. "Please have a seat. Faramir bring in what you brought back from the skrimish." Aragorn said.
Aragorn sat studying the Harad Queen and her generals. Then he looked to the other commanders in the room who seemed to be in fear of this woman. Although to Aragorn she seemed nought but a normal Harad woman. If Harad women could be called normal.

Faramir turned to Aragorn and inclined his head slightly, before walking out of the pavillion. He walked over towards his horse and untied the body of the Southron Commander. He gripped it but the scruff of the neck and dragged it accross the grass. Some of the Officials that stood around wondered what he was doing, but Faramir just grinned at them.
Faramir threw the flaps of the Pavillion out of the way, before throwing the body of the Southron Commander at the Queens feet.
'A token on behalf of the White Company, My lady.' Faramir bowed slightly again, a smile still on his face as he moved to stand beside the King.

Rácine managed to avoid narrowing her eyes as the Steward left the pavilion. In his absence, she moved towards a seat and motioned once again for her men to stand beside her. Underneath her copius amounts of folded clothing was a scimiter. She was not planning to harm anyone, but having and arm hidden certainly gave an air of confidence. Rácine liked to feel secure.
When Faramir returned, she raised her eyebrows in disdain and wrinkled her nose. She tried not to flinch, but the sight of congealed blood made her instinctively move the fine white silk away from the floor.
"The White Company has my thanks, Lord Faramir," Rácine replied cooly with the hints of a frown on her brow. The cheek of it . . . but now it was time for the theatrics. She sighed and brought a hand to her temple.
"My lords, you know of the oppression in my lands. We are a poor country who lived and scrounged on what we pilaged. My navy is made of nothing but pirates. We are nomads seeking land in the harsh desert where we might make more settlements since we have very few that we are able to sustain," she said smoothly. "Now that there is peace, my land is failing. We have no farm land, we have no water, we have no ore. We are not able to trade with others for those that we can trade with have little themselves and the rich western lands have . . . 'neglected' us in their trade routes. You give us no aid, Gondor, what am I supposed to do but listen to my people?"

Aragorn almost laughed as Faramir dragged the body of the dead commander in. It looked indeed like one of Racine's men. But instead he sat straight faced and looked at Eomer, then back at Faramir. "I presume this is the commander who attacked Ithilien?" he asked.
Aragorn looked at Racine. "Have you ever been to Rhun Racine?" he asked her. " have. not a bad land. Very green, very pleasent. When the smoke of Mount Doom didnt block its sun. If you have been there you will know as well as i do that Rhun is as fertile as Rohan. And trust me Rohan is pretty fertile. So this gets me wondering. Why oh Why dont you use it? The ash from Mount Doom would keep Rhun fertile for centuries. Yet you live in the desert. Ok, so you may like th desert but that doesnt mean to say that your people couldn't grow things there and ship the into the desert." Aragorn paused for a second.
"As for trading with Gondor and the West. That is entirely the men of the easts fault. They abused the trust that Myself, Faramir and King Eomer put in them so blame them if you must. This however does not explain these attacks on Gondor. Am i correct in assuming that this..." Aragorn kicked the body of the dead commader. "... is one of your commanders?" he asked.

Rácine refrained from biting her lip and began arranging sentences in her mind. "Milord, Rhun is not my country. Rhun is overpopulated. Rhun needs all of its land. If you have been there, milord, you will know it is not an empty land. My people cannot migrate there; to do so would abuse hospitality and our treaty that states we shall never hinder one another. Each harvest they produce just enough food to keep themselves alive so there is nothing to be shipped to us."
"You also forget, milord, that I have only been monarch a short amount of time. My late father induced the distrust in us and it is no fault of mine. These circumstance, I do believe, explain my motives. Ithilien is fertile. It has remained a forest so I assume it had remained unused. Gondor is vast, you still have land to build on. Am I to be deprived of farm land to maintain the vastness of your kingdom?"
Rácine paused as she looked down at the dead commander in an attempt to identify him. "Yes, he was my commander. Does he really have to stay here anymore?"

Aragorn sttod up to his full hieght and for a 93 year old he was pretty tall. "I will not let you into Ithilien. It's lands are completely off limit. Forests of Gondor are not to be pulled down. Do I make myself clear?" Aragorn roared.
"The plight of your people are not my concern but the safety of my people is. I or any other Western commander will not let you enter our lands without a fight." he said sternly sitting back down.
Aragorn looked from Eomer to Faramir to lget thier support. He nodded to them. "If all you have wanted to do in coming here was to aggrivate me well done, you have succeeded. Though you will not get any of Gondor's lands becuase those lands belong to Gondor's people and to those people it will remain. Ithilien is for the people of Ithilien. They keep it as a forest becuase they like it like that. Enter Gondor in force one more time and i promise you Gondor will answer in full. Do you understand me, Witch?" Aragorn said, his toned dripping with venom.

Rácine retorted to the roar by standing up, on her tip toes, for even at the lithely built Queen's full heigh she was still not as tall as him. Her generals edged closer to her and, unseen, her hand slipped into the fold of her white robes to clasp the scimitar. "You, milord, have cast this upon your own people. Had my land not been denied the aid rightfully given as a victim of war then perhaps one would not have to resort to such drastic measures,"she replied, standing her ground with desperate defiance. "However, since you do not even want to open a useful trade route with my land for us to earn an income then I have no choice. My requests have been a small price compared to war. Damn your pride milord."
Rácine only paused to check all possible exits. One could never be too careful. The rest of her party would know when an attack started and the quicker the better afterall. "I, Rácine of the Noble and Sacred House of Uladorith, Queen of Harad and the Admiral of the Fleet of the Corsairs of Umbar hereby declare war on Gondor," she said, raising her fist into the air. Damn the formalities of it all, she would have much preferred to declare war by simply marching as big as host as possible into Gondor.

Faramir stepped forwards, in front of the unarmed King of Gondor and drew his own sword. He pointed it at the Queen, as if daring her to draw the sword that she had sheated under her clothing, also daring the two thugs on either side of her to move and inch.
'I, Faramir, Prince of Ithilien here by declare the the people of Ithilien are at war with those of Harad,' Faramir growled. 'And do not move your hand an inch closer too whatever you have underneath your clothing or you shall have no hand to grasp it.'
Faramir looked to the two either side of her. They were big looking fellows, both armed but he could take them. Not to mention the fact that if they caused any trouble here they would no doubt be shot down by the Rangers who stood on the other side of the Pavillion.
'Reach, very slowy and take out what you were reaching for then drop it.'
