The World had changed so much since Frodo had walked these soils. Since he Sam, Merry and Pippin had their adventures. The land was no longer familliar, men it seems had rebuilt their society that was once before slowly falling apart.
With her hood over her head and her cloak wrapped around her tight Anawinee rolled up the map and pushed it back into her sack and sighed. Suddenly stealing from Sam so many of Frodo's things were seeming to be of no use. What an adventure she was having. Sam would kill her once she returned to the shire. To make matters worse, she had stolen the most useful of Frodo's things, Sting at her side, and a page from his book Lord Of The Rings, his maps of Middle earth. Which she would throw into a fire rather than trust at this point.
Looking through the trees of the forest that she was in she sighed. She couldn't figure out for the life of her where she was. The sun was in the top of the sky, it would be time for a lunch should she had the food for it. Staring down at her bruised hand she sighed, the swelling had receeded but now she had a numbness that clearly followed with the fact that she broke a knuckle against a tree while trying to stop herself from falling.
Sitting down to take a rest she pushed her back against a large tree wrapping her cloak around her dress. In Hobbit fashion she wore a very circle low neck green dress with half sleeves. The boddice of the dress was a light green while the green of the skirt once was as green as the leaves above her. Now dirty, ripped and stained. What a sight she was.

Faramir was in the woods of Ithilien. Dressed in the Fatigues of the White Company, the Rangers of Ithilien, he walked along a pathline. He heard a rustling off to his left and froze.
Drawing his sword he stepped slowly towards the noise. He had been on his way to meet with Beregond and send him to the King's side in Minas Tirith and had been making good progress. An encounter with Southrons would slow him up and take precious time away from him.
Faramir stepped out of the treeline and saw a form sitting up against a tree. The person was not human, but a Hobbit. Faramir stepped forward.
'What is a halfling of the Shire doing in the woods of Ithilien?'

The Woods of Ithilien! No wonder I'm lost I" going in the wrong direction! Anawinee had the intentions of going the other way, to see Minias Tirith, meet the king of Gondor. This way she was actually following Frodo's steps going towards Mordor. Standing up she went to run backwards and tripped over a large root and gasped as she fell backwards exposing herself totally as her hood fell backwards off her head and her cloak fell behind her leaving her exposed. Her face, her form, even the fact that she carried a sword would all be known.
"What is it to a man of Gondor?" She looked up at the man. Had she studied the books good enough, she knew a bit about these lands and it's people.
She went to crawl backwards but put her broken right hand out first and winced slighlyt in pain pulling her hand to her chest staring up at the man. "I mean no harm to these woods" She spoke slowly and clearly.

Faramir smiled slightly as the Hobbit ran from him and tripped. He stepped forward, following her and sheathing his sword at the same time.
'It is something to the Prince of Ithilien and the Steward of Gondor, Hobbit of the Shire. I am Faramir som of Denethor.' Faramir bowed slightly. 'Of course you mean no harm to these woods, because if I thought you did, you would be dead.'
Faramir laughed, putting across the sarcasm he had spoken with. He offered his hand to the Hobbit.
'Come. I shall help you on your way, wherever your way may be.'

"Steward of Gondor.." She spoke again to herself, no she did hear right, and she read about it. Rolling her eyes she laughed "I know who you are, Pippin's told me about you." She stared up at the man grabbed his hand pulling herself up still keeping her wounded hand to herself.
So this was Faramir, she pictured in her head someone more rudely, someone more ruggid and slightly scary after what she had heard of Denethor. But the dead wasn't something to speak of and it was rude to speak of the past. A lesson she had to get screamed at by druken hobbits to realize.
"I was trying to go to the Hills of the King, Minas Tirith." She looked back at him before bowing slightly. "Anawinee Took, Daughter of Dora Baggins and Paladin Took." She rose from her mackshift bow trying to dust herself off with her good hand. She really wasn't a sight for royalty.

'Yes. The Steward of Gondor.' Faramir smiled. 'If it is the King that you seek, then you should come with me, little one. I shall take you to the Wooded City of Minas Ithilien and there you shall dwell with my wife for a few days. I can take you to Minas Tirith in three days time when I go there to council the king with the heads of the region.'
'I think we may also be able to find something for you to change into. And your cloak will need repairing, no doubt.' Faramir smiled. 'As for your hand, there are healers in the town who will be able to fix it as long as you agree to rest it for however long they demand.'
'Come! It is but three hours walk to Minas Ithilien!'

Anawinee smiled, brighter than she had in the past three months. Finally a real adventure, one that she herself may be able to write down one day just like Frodo and Bilbo did. While she didn't like to be refered to as little one she knew that she would be in the presence of men. "Thank you lord Faramir, I"m grateful and at your service shall you ever need something from me." So he'd even give her way to the king. She smiled brightly, men weren't all that they seemed to be. This one was nice anyway.
"Oh I don't know, my body is different than that of your children." She stared down, it was true, while she had the hight of a child, she had the figure of a well fed woman. Clearly a child wouldn't have this sort of figure. Staring at her hand she nodded. "I'll do that Milord." She nodded and blinked, three hour walk by a man's foot could be a day for hers. Best not argue now, nodding she smiled "Alright, lead the way Milord.." She looked about "Why are you on your own?"

'Do not worry about the trek, Mistress Hobbit. I have a horse here that you may ride. I can walk as swiftly as it can in the dense woods around here. We may even make it to the town before nightfall.' Faramir whistled and a horse moved out of the bushes. Faramir brushed a hand across its mane.
'I think we may be able to find you something, do not worry.' Faramir smiled. 'I was on my way to meet with Beregond and Damrod, the Captains of Ithilien and send them to the Great Gondorian Council. War is upon us and that is why you must not be out here in the wilderness. Southrons are skirmishing with my men.'
Faramir moved to the side of the horse. 'Come, I will help you up.'

"Alright." She stared up at the man, so the stories had to have been true. He was a gentle lord, as far as she could see so far. Her eyes grew wide as he spoke of a horse. Horses were tall, and Anawinee, along with most of the hobbit population was terrified of horses. While she could withstand riding a horse for awhile, she wasn't sure how long she'd go without freaking out completely.
"I Don't want to be a bother Milord. " She stared up at the wild beautiful horse and blinked taking a few steps back so she could get a better look at it. "I"m afraid I don't know who those people are..." It was true she knew pleanty of the world outside of the shire. But she didn't know everything. "Another war? But why? What is there left to fight for." She looked over at Faramir, without a powerful ring, what was there left to fight for?
Looking up at Faramir she blushed as she looked around. They were most definatly alone, and if Southerons were infact in the woods and a danger, then she would need to stay near this lord. Pulling her hood over her head as to block the light from showing her cherry face she held her arms up as if a child trying to get her father's attention. "If there are southerons amongst the forest you shouldn't be alone...you'd be a target for sure"

Faramir laughed again. The Hobbits were hardy folk, and Faramir respected them greatly. 'They are men of the White Company, the defenders of Ithilien. Many of them are related to me on my mothers side. If you want to know a little about them, they are decendants of Numenor, most prefer to speak Sindarin over the common language that we speak in now. As for Damrod and Beregond, one is the man to whom I owe my life and the other is a dear old friend.'
'I am not alone.' Faramir pointed to fingers in the eastern direction. A man with a bow appeared from no where. Faramir spun on his heel and pointed to another, who materialized from the forest. 'Continue, I will not be long. If you come to Beregond or Damrod, in form them that the Great Gondorian Council is to be held in seven days.'
Farmir turned back to the Hobbit and helped her up onto the Horse.
'Grab the reins, and do not worry. I shall lead the horse.'

Anawinee turned as quikly as he did seeing the men and blinked. She had never seen them, nor had she heard them. Was it possible that men could be as fast or quiet as a hobbit? She had never seen a man more quiet than herself. "Well now..." She trailed off and put her hands on Faramir's shoulders and sat down on the horse grabbing the reins. "Horses are tall" She muttered as she looked over the edge and blinked looking at Faramir, who she was just a bit taller than now.
"Are you going to ride too? Or walk?"
Anawinee blinked and started to shuffle up to the front of the horse just incase.

'The men of the Dúnedain are as swift and quiet as any being on the planet. The specialise at moving in the forest and can do so without being noticed by man or beast.' Faramir noded to one of the Rangers and he melted away into the forestry.
'I shall run. The horse cannot bear both of us swiftly through the dense woods until we reach the pathway which is an hour away!' Faramir grabbed one of the reins and began to lead the horse at a swift pace.
'What brings you to these lands, anyway, Halfling of the Shire?'

Anawinee nodded and then took in a breath as the horse started to move a little faster than she liked.Holding tight to the reins and opened one eye when Faramir started tot alk to her.
"Adventure, I wanted to see the world. I've seen the shire, back to front, all of it. I know it all to well, I"ve read Frodo's stories, I"ve heard Merry and Pippin speak of the world and I wanted to see it. But I"m sure they're all mad at me for leaving, without a word. I was mad when they left." She took in a breath and let it out slowly getting used to the big beast moving beneath her. "But I didn't think I'd get caught up in a simular way. Accept no great ring, and I don't have my gardener by my side." She smiled. "So I"m afraid a hobbit wont change the world this time around. But I might head back home after meeting with the king. War is no place for a hobbit, we're to small to mean anything"

'Frodo? Merry? Pippin?' Faramir asked, still leading the horse swiftly through the trees of Ithilien. 'That halflings that came as part of the Fellowship of the ring. How do you know them? Are you perhaps related to of them?'
Faramir listend for an answer whilst dodging the braken on the ground before finally bringing the horse onto a track way big enough for the Horse to ride far more swiftly than even Faramir could run in the forest. He hopped up onto the horse, behind Anawinee and took hold of the reins. With a kick, they were off, travelling fast.

"They're all related to me, cousins of some sort some way" She nodded and then when Faramir hopped on the horse behind her and made the horse go faster she gasped out and held onto Faramir's cloak and covered her eyes. "If I can't see it it's not happening."
To keep herself from thinking about the bouncing going on beneath her Anawinee continued to talk. "My name is Anawinee Took, so I'm first cousins with Pereigrin Took, Pippin, and best friends with Merrry Brandybuck. But Frodo is my third cousin twice removed on my mother's sisters side." She peered over the cloth and blinked "oh we're moving fast, and we're high up" She didn't like horses much.
