Year Six of the Fourth Age Of Middle Earth
12th June: Orcs skirmish with Rangers of Gondor in Ithilien.
14th June: Faramir, Prince of Ithilien, sends word that Orcs and Southerlings attacked Southern Ithilien.
14th - 19th June: Skirmishes between the Rangers of Ithilien and Southrons.
15th June: Mount Doom erupts, its fires have been rekindled.
20th June: The Monarchs meet. War is declared.
1st July: Sam Gamgee Mayor of Hobbiton sends word of Wargs on the Borders of the Shire. Rangers in the area notified.
The Fourth Age is not as peaceful as one had hoped for. Unrest and desperate defiance have stirred the oppressed people defeated in the war to rise up against the victors. From the harsh deserts and wastelands, the Orcs, Southerlings and Easterling form an alliance and begin forging their weapons. That summer begins a long feud that is to shake Middle Earth once again.
From Harad and Mordor, the dark forces begin a campaign against fair Ithilien. The Orcs begin their skirmishes in an attempt to throw off the Rangers. When they fail to do so, the full allied force are sent in to break the defences. Faramir, in command of the defence from South Ithilien, sends the word of a war.
The following day, King Elessar rides fast to Ithilien and observe the details himself. Outraged by the break in armistice, the King held a meeting with his fellow Gondorians.
Not soon after, all the Leaders were called to another meeting. Among those who attended were King Elessar, Lord Faramir, King Eomer, Queen Racine of Harad and an Orc General. All weapons were laid aside and the debate began. When it was over, war was declared. The treaties made in alliances were finally put into practice and all lands were now drawn together.
The Elves stop leaving and those that remain are reluctant to see the lands perish again, Gondor and Rohan take up arms with each other once again, and once again ports fear the sighting of the black corsair sails.
