In Character
Name:
Radagast the Brown, Aiwendil.
Age:
2027 years on Middle-Earth
Sex:
Male
Race:
Maiar
Job:
Istari, Member of the White Council
Plot:
Radagast, after speaking with Gandalf, became ashamed that he had strayed from his task. Upon hearing news from the south, Radagast felt that he should try to atone for his straying.
Personality:
Radagast is often seen as harsh and directly to the point, this is because he is used to talking more to animals than to humans. He is known to the other members of the White Council as being something of a simpleton. That is far from the case. Gandalf saw Radagast for his true self, Saruman believed that Radagasts love for animals was something disgusting. Radagast is a honest person and likes to look on the good side of people.
Radagast has a love for nature. He spends his days out talking with the many birds and beasts that are around near his home. He has befriended Gwahir the Windlord and many other creatures. If anything were to threaten the animals of Middle-Earth, Radagast would defend them unto his death.
Although lacking in people skills, Radghast is a pleasant and reserved man, prefering to keep himself to himself. He is very wise when it comes to the lore of animals and plants, having studied them a lot during his 20 decades of life among the birds, beasts and plants. Radagast is a very kind person. Not only to animals but to those few humans that he meets in the forest, often they are lost and he would give them provisions and perhaps teach them some useful way to live off of the land.
History:
Radagast was once known as Aiwendil and was one of the Maiar spirits who served those of the Valar. Radagast was sent to Middle-Earth along with five other Maiar where they took the forms of old men. In Middle-earth, Radagast made his home at Rhosgobel on the western border of Mirkwood. He was known to Beorn, the skin-changer who lived to the north near the Carrock. He befriended animals, and more than any, birds. He befriended Gwahir the Windlord and the other Giant Eagles.
Radagast, himself, is a master of shapes and changes of hue and he was knowledgeable in the lore of animals and plants. Radagast spent most of his time in the wilderness and had very little time to bother with Men and Elves, however when he was called upon by another Istari, he answered.
In 3018, Radagast was contacted by Saruman to seek out Gandalf the Grey and tell him of the Nine Riders and that they had moved abroad. Radagast, being an honest man did not realise that Saruman was decieving him and he rode to Bree where he found Gandalf on the Greenway. Radgast spoke with Gandalf and agreed to ask those trusted to gather what information they could and bring it to Isengard. Gwahir agreed to assist Radagast and searched far and wide, and then took what information he had discovered to Isengard, where he found Gandalf inprisoned on the Pinacle of Orthanc.
Radagast returned to Mirkwood and was contacted by Gandalf before he departed. Radagast chose to remain behind in Middle-Earth. Feeling ashamed that he had strayed from his task, Radagast promised Gandalf that should some other evil stir in Middle-Earth, he would assist the free peoples in whatever way he could.
Family:
None.
Appearance:
Role Playing Sample:
Faramir stepped forwards, in front of the unarmed King of Gondor and drew his own sword. He pointed it at the Queen, as if daring her to draw the sword that she had sheated under her clothing, also daring the two thugs on either side of her to move and inch.
'I, Faramir, Prince of Ithilien here by declare the the people of Ithilien are at war with those of Harad,' Faramir growled. 'And do not move your hand an inch closer too whatever you have underneath your clothing or you shall have no hand to grasp it.'
Faramir looked to the two either side of her. They were big looking fellows, both armed but he could take them. Not to mention the fact that if they caused any trouble here they would no doubt be shot down by the Rangers who stood on the other side of the Pavillion.
'Reach, very slowy and take out what you were reaching for then drop it.'
