Nessa sat alone in the woods near a river, her dark eyes focused on the peaceful river's flow. Her mind, however, was elsewhere. She wondered where her brothers were. They had to be somewhere near or so she hoped. Anything could happen, but she didn't like to think that the worst had happened. Nessa ran a hand through her dark tresses giving a slight sigh. She pushed herself up, she was wearing a dark green tunic and a pair of dark green leggings. She had always avoided wearing dresses when she could help it.
She placed her palms on the ground and set her legs straight out, crossing them at the ankles. She leaned backward a bit, but not so much that she'd fall over. She heard the sounds of the squirrels jumping from branch to branch and the birds twittering high above in the trees. Soon, however, her mind began to drift...she was spiraling into darkness. She closed her eyes, the memory was too painful. She grimaced.
"Please I beg of you, leave the children..."
"Don't worry, it's not the children we're after, it's you. They'll live or perhaps they'll die. You'll never know will you?" the harsh voice demanded.
There was the sound of breaking glass and hushed whisper of, 'Hurry up. The children are starting to stir.'
"Well, take the children out of here you useless..."
The next moments passed in prolonged confusion. Then there seemed to be a scuffle, there was screaming, and all of a sudden the screaming stopped. A voice that sounded male called for the children but the other man insisted that it was too late for that, they had to go, and the sounds of horses hooves sounded loudly. A young Nessa descended the stairs, yawning. Followed by Valandil and Amrod. She screamed when she saw the dead bodies in front of her eyes. "Mum? DADDDY! No!" the young elf screamed.
Nessa jerked herself from her thoughts, tears dropping from her dark eyes. Nessa sighed softly, running a hand through her dark brown tresses. She looked up at the clear sky, breathing heavily. She sincerely hoped that she wouldn't be shaken by these thoughts all day. She was shooken up, right now, and she knew she probably would be for a while. "I need to calm down," she murmured softly to herself.

Sindohte was flustered as she hastily dismounted from her horse and let it find its own way back to the stable as she continued to run through the trees where a faint footpath treaded only by her lead her. It was a smooth shortcut and with the news of war still floating across her ears she was eager to leave immediately. Purpose filled her once again and she felt she had to offer her services before she might depart to Valinor peacefully. Indeed, she had rode from Imladris back to Mirkwood to gather her travel things, rations and so on.
She dodged roots trying to snag her ankles and branches that whipped at her as she passed when the wind willed them. She kept tripping on her gown and gathered them in both her hands as she kept moving. However, after the long riding, she was actually tiring and found her breath rising to her annoyance. She still needed to get back.
She ducked under an arch made by two tree boughs intertwining with each other and could hear the rushing of water to her right. She knew now she had to follow that noise since the darkness of the canopy was now making the footpath all the harder to tread. But even sounds couldn't help her dodge. She veered off balance as she caught a low lying bough to her chest, then when she regained it was brought backwards when she saw her dress caught in the thin twigs.
Sighing, agitated by the stop of her pace, she began to untangle herself then turned, surprised, to find another present.

Nessa looked up when she sensed the presence of another seeing a dark haired elf, presumably a wood elf's whose dress was caught and tangled in the thin twigs. She wiped the spare tears from her eyes, her woes were past woes and they should stay where they belonged. The past. She stood up slowly, brushing off her clothes.
She glanced at the other elf with a strained smile. "Hello," she remarked softly, noticing the elf had started to untangle herself until she had seen Nessa. "No need to fear me, I promise I don't bite," she remarked with a gentle laugh. It was hard to find things to laugh at lately, so she tried to bring humor into situations that might not have been too funny, but it was better to laugh than to cry, so she wasn't going to complain about her cheerful nature at the moment. In fact it was quite nice for her not to be depressed or sullen for once.
Nessa walked closer so that she was standing a few feet from the other elf, but she didn't want to get too close, so as not to invade her space. She stood there, gazing at the stranger curiously with a closed expression on her face. "I don't believe we've met," she remarked, looking her over. "Oh, where are my manners?" she asked, notcing the elf was still tangled she helped the other elf free herself. "I'm Nessa, pleased to make your acquintance," she remarked softly, waiting for the stranger to say something. She hoped that she didn't think that she was being too straight forward. Nessa ran a hand through her long brown tresses before her hand fell to her side.

Sindohte smiled slightly in embarrassment as she was helped removing herself from the tree's grasp. Sindohte was secretly curious for her little short cut was a very remote route and she hardly ever saw people along it. She resisted the urge to stare and drink everything in when there were thanks yet to be passed.
"Well met Nessa," Sindohte offered with a thanking glance. "I do hope I have not intruded on a sought solitude. I was just passing by. " Sindohte began to rearrange her black hair from where it had grown tangled from her run and stuck to forehead. "If I have, please pardon my intrusion." She then finished with a polite nod. "I am Sindohte."
For a moment, the errand that had given her drive was forgotten.

"Ah, nay, I was just lost in thought. Perhaps it was better that you interrupted. They were not happy thoughts to reflect on," Nessa revealed with a light sigh. "Nice to make you acquintance, Sindohte," she remarked with a light smile, crossing over her full lips. Which was rather rare, Nessa was usually quite serious.
Nessa noticed that the elf seemed curious about her, but refrained from further conversation for the moment. She smiled gently once more, you couldn't always trust everyone who wandered in the forest but she was quite sure that Sindohte was one of the few that you could trust. After all, there weren't many, if any, Dark Elves left about. It was more about humans that concerned her, you could never tell if they were evil or not until often it was too late. Unless they were obvious with their intentions.
"A very remote area to be located at, I know, but it helps give me peace of mind," Nessa offered. She pushed a hand through her dark chocolate locks, sighing softly, watching as a squirrel jumped from branch to brach before she returned her gaze to the other female elf.
