It had been many moons since Éomer had last seen his sister. He dismounted his horse and stroked its mane. One of his guards then came and took the reins and lead the mighty horse away to the stables.
When Éomer finally reached the door to the house, he removed his helmet, letting his long hair flow freely about his shoulders. Éomer banged forcefully upon the door and waited for an answer. He wandered what Éowyn would say having not heard from him in so long.

Eowyn heard the knocking as she weaved herself out of the kitchen and then through the sitting room. She quickly headed to the door and haulted. She smoothed out her crushed velvet plum dress and smiled. Opening the latches on the door, she swung it open and her eyes widened. Her breath caught in her throat, she felt as though the heavy weight of anxiousness disappear. A fair gentle smile spread across her pale features and her heart felt warm. "Eomer..." She whispered softly. She couldn't recall the last time she ever saw him. It had been too long ago. She literally ran into his arms and wrapped her arms around him to give him a sisterly hug. It felt nice to be around him, but she was lost for words of what to say. It'd been...she smiled against him and hugged him tightly. ((Why's it titled Eomer? Should be Eowyn. ))

Éomer's heart lifted as his sister hugged him. A broad smile drew across his face. The force of Eowyn's hug was enough to make him move backwards, even though he was in full battle armour. He couldn't remember the last time they had met nor how long ago it had been. 'It has been to long. The Golden Hall has been a lonely place without your presence.' Éomer relaxed his grip of Eowyn and looked her up and down. She hadn't looked this well since the death of their uncle. It had been a hard time for him also. He had been finding it hard to forget about the horrors of that day. His only comfort was that Eowyn was alive and happy, and that a good man was there to protect her when he couldn't. ((I think Éomer is about right. After all I am the king ))

Éowyn smiled lightly at Éomer. It was so good to see her brother again. It really had been too long for the two of them to see one another. She bit her lip tentatively when he mentioned of the Golden Hall. She'd thought of that place every day since she deserted the place. That place held too many distinctive memories of which she longed to forget. Some, however, were fine memories at least for a good amount of time, before Saruman's power took over the city.
"I can only imagine." She replied, looking at him in a kind and gentle manner. "To what do I owe this unexpected pleasure of your visit?" She inquired. Well, why had he come here? Wasn't he busy? She had to smile. Well, it better be a good reason. She might even have to prepare something for him. He must be starving. "Hungry?"
((if your king, i'm queen...))
